I’m a recent college graduate living completely by myself – no parents, roommates, or housemates – for the first time. I like healthy living, a clean apartment, and independence….oh, and I have negative money. Also, how do I file taxes? How does insurance work? Do I seriously need to call the dentist 3 months ahead of time to get an appointment? HOW CAN I PLAN ANYTHING 3 MONTHS AHEAD OF TIME? And why is food so freaking expensive?
Some things I’ve learned about:
- Finding an apartment
- Budgeting!
- Handling my insurance needs
- Cooking and cleaning like a pro
As I tackle my challenges with adulting, I’m hoping to help some other
twenty-somethings avoid some of the pitfalls. I mean, after all, adulting is hard, but we all have to start doing it at some point!
Now excuse me while I go binge-watch some Disney movies.
